Hubbub Theatre Company

Nikki is a resident Designer and Workshop Facilitator at integrated theatre company Hubbub Theatre Company in Derby. Co-facilitating “The Hubbub Way” Nikki has shared her skills in Drama, Puppetry and Design at their regular groups, the Hub and Actor Training, as well as other community groups across Derbyshire, including Our Vision Our Future in Chesterfield and Umbrella Academy in Derby.

Spark Arts for Children: Creative Curiosity

As part of the Spark Festival 2022, in January 2022 young disabled people from Ash Field Academy creatively joined forces with professional disabled and non-disabled artists Nikki Charlesworth and Pasha Kincaid to create an inclusive multi-sensory installation at their school.

Taking the festival theme of finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, the installation incorporated the young people’s creative ideas of how they could take something from their school that was very ordinary and make it extraordinary. What did they come up with?

Puppet Play – An Introduction to Puppetry and Puppet-Making Workshop

To promote her work, Nikki has led her workshop “Puppet Play”, a workshop that serves as an introduction to puppetry and puppet-making for grown ups, children and families. Nikki has led this workshop for a number of companies:
